Anatomy for Artists – Hands & Feet

Instructor: Will Dickinson
Date: Saturday, November 9
Time: 9A-3P
Fee: $90
Level: Beginning+

The expressive qualities of hands can enhance the mood and emotion of an artwork. Accurately
rendered feet can offer artwork stability and movement. However, hands and feet can be challenging
subjects to tackle. This class will help artists understand the anatomical structure of these
appendages, identify anatomical landmarks, and see simple shapes in the forms. Students will leave
class with confidence to face this challenge and stop hiding hands in pockets and feet in shoes! All
supplies are included.
Your instructor, Will Dickinson, was educated at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and
Sciences and the Glasgow School of Art majoring in Fine Arts and Anthropology. Subsequently, he
studied figurative drawing in Philadelphia. His art was featured at various group shows and solo
exhibitions in New York City, Washington D.C., and Florence, Assisi (Italy).
