Unleash your creativity while splashing in juicy puddles of transparent watercolor. Using artist grade paints and paper, students will enjoy exploring the spontaneous qualities of watercolor, creating vibrant paintings using a variety of techniques. While learning the basic types of washes that form the foundation for all watercolor paintings students will explore methods for creating amazing texture, ways to preserve white space, elements of color theory and how to use positive and negative space to give the illusion of depth. Working with instructor Tricia Matthew, students will learn fun ways to apply the paint that allows the color to mix freely on the paper.
