August 22 • 9am – 4pm
Instructor: Stephen Wysocki
FULL
Have you ever been curious about painting en plein air? Painting outdoors can be a wonderfully creative experience. This workshop is for the beginning plein air artist and will cover the equipment needed and the process of how to start painting.
Instructor Stephen Wysocki will spend time explaining how to set up the necessary equipment and then dive into the steps to achieve successful painting. Students will learn how to find “the spot” as well as techniques to better their composition. Rain or shine, and “what to do when the boat leaves?” are all things to consider while painting out in the elements. Wysocki will begin the day with a demonstration followed by working individually with each student. At the end of the day, students will enjoy a short critique of the works completed in that day’s class.
