Jason will take you through the process of planning and executing a quality landscape using the fundamentals of line, value and composition with the goal of improving your drawing and planning skills for standalone drawings or as preparation for larger works. We will work in graphite, charcoal and pen and ink. Jason will show you how to tackle both urban and natural subjects as we create a finished piece together.
Jason will share techniques from his 30 years of experience painting landscapes. He will walk you through every step of the process from visualization and planning to finishing a painting. Subjects will include composition, color theory and brushwork. Jason will share his experience with plein air and studio painting and practical solutions with the goal of building your skills as a painter as we create a finished piece together.
