Understanding the structure of the human face and how to capture an accurate likeness of your model are important skills for all artists interested in creating portraits. In the class taught by artist Will Dickinson, students will learn the bone and muscular structure of the human head and face, develop an understanding of the proportions of the face, and adjust those proportions to capture likenesses and personality. Students will also learn to recognize anatomical landmarks, and develop confidence in exploring portrait art.

Will Dickinson was educated at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences and the Glasgow School of Art majoring in Fine Arts and Anthropology. Subsequently, he studied figurative drawing in Philadelphia. His art was featured at various group shows and solo exhibitions in New York City, Washington D.C., and Florence, Assisi (Italy).
