Taking up the tradition of the French academic draftsmen, this class will expose the students to some of the techniques used in the 19th-century academy. Using graphite, students will get an insight into how precise measurement, placement, and observation are key elements to the drawing process. Using the methods of Charles Bargue, each student will take home a bit of history and their own artwork.
