Painting outside in the winter?? Yes! Painting snow can be challenging but is a beautiful subject matter. In this class, students will explore how to paint beautiful radiant snow from direct observation. Time will be spent both learning indoors and outdoors. Creating art outdoors in winter weather comes with a particular set of challenges but students in this class will have plenty of opportunities to retreat to the warmth of the studio between painting sessions. All materials are provided but artists who already have plein air easels are welcome to bring their own supplies. Warm beverages will be provided, and there will be a break for lunch.
