Maximizing Miniatures: Creating Impact in a Small Scale

Instructor: Hector Acuna
Date: Saturday, March 25, 2023
Time: 10am -4pm
Fee: This class has been filled.
Level: Intermediate+

When faced with the challenge of painting complex subjects in a small scale, artists must employ their skills of economy, centering on the idea of “less is more.” Working in a small scale is ideal for experimentation in color and design while informing a greater understanding of painting. In this painting workshop, students will explore these ideas as well as how emphasis, simplification, and how the subject is rendered will help achieve a substantial impact in a small scale. All materials are included. There will be a break for lunch.
