Dive into the working process of the old masters with a contemporary twist. In this oil painting class students will delve into the classical processes of old masters painting from the underdrawing to the finishing glazes and transparencies. These classical techniques combined with new working methods and mediums, embellishing techniques, and the use of modern colors, will allow students to explore ways of creating a timeless work of art that also speaks to a modern aesthetic. All materials will be provided. There will be a break for lunch.
