Do you like working with photos but find the end result a little lack-luster? This class will focus on creating a completed drawing in graphite using photos as reference images. Students with a basic understanding of drawing will find this course helpful to get to the next step in the art-making process. Using photographs can often leave your work feeling flat, this course will focus on using the photo as a reference instead of an image to duplicate. Artist Nathan Brandner will take students through the steps of interpreting a photo as a guide while creating a finished work of art. This course will work on a piece of the student’s choice and help them break free from just duplicating the photo in front of them.
