Painting outdoors can be intimidating to dive into on your own. Difficulties include choosing subject matter from an abundance of options, the strange gear and setup, braving the weather and insects, and of course the painting itself. If any of these factors are holding you back, then this class is for you! Veteran plein air artist Nathan Brandner will bring students out into the field and lead them through the basics of painting plein air with a hands-on approach. Learn the essentials to gain confidence in this adventurous art practice! This class will take place outside of the Richeson School of Art studio. The location will be announced to students closer to the class date. All supplies are included. There will be a break for lunch.
