Learn the fundamentals of pastel painting, and gain confidence in this wonderful medium during a class taught by pastel artist Darcy Doiel. From understanding pastel painting supplies to pastel application techniques, and beyond, Doiel will lead students through the process of creating a pastel painting and igniting the same passion for pastels that inspires her art practice. All supplies are included. There will be a break for lunch.
Darcy Doiel is an award-winning artist and instructor whose work has been shown throughout Wisconsin and southern Florida. Doiel is a member of many pastel and art organizations including Pastel Society of America and Wisconsin Pastel Artists. Having grown up in Fond du Lac and raising her family in Appleton, she now spends her summers in Winneconne, Wisconsin, and the rest of the year in Atlantis, Florida.
