Watercolor masking fluid is a tool used by watercolor artists that allows the artist to block out areas that they wish to keep free of pigment and preserve the white of the paper. In this exploratory art-making session, participants will get the chance to test Richeson’s Liquid Masque before making the investment. The first part of this class will focus on techniques and practices, and the second part will be dedicated to painting exploration with a simple project that mimics the art of cyanotypes. ALLERGY ALERT – Liquid Masque contains natural rubber latex.
